Overview

Ivy House is a Family run Restaurant based inBraithwaite, Keswick ,We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and professional Individual to join our front of house team. The ideal candidate have excellent guest service and have experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Training will be provided

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
  • Ensure all health and safety standards, including food safety regulations, are adhered to at all times
  • Clear tables promptly and assist with setting up dining areas for new guests
  • Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues swiftly to ensure a positive experience
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting the kitchen team when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, counters, and service stations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
