Full job description

About Us

Mad Dogg Kustoms isn't your average garage. Alongside servicing and repair work, we build custom cars, bikes and one-off projects. We need a mechanic who's as happy doing a proper service as they are getting stuck into an engine swap, a custom build or a project that doesn't come with a manual.

If you can turn your hand to anything mechanical and you take pride in doing it right, you'll fit in here.

The Role

We want a genuine all-rounder — someone who can run routine servicing and diagnostics one day and be elbow-deep in a custom build the next. No two weeks are the same, so we need someone who can think on their feet, solve problems, and own a job from start to finish without being chased.

Day to day you'll be:

  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs across cars and bikes
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Mechanical work on custom builds — engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, exhausts
  • Engine swaps, upgrades and performance work
  • Fitting parts and components on bespoke projects
  • Working alongside the fab, build and paint team to bring projects together
  • Keeping the workshop, tools and bays clean and in order

What We're Looking For

  • Solid experience as a mechanic / vehicle technician
  • Confident across servicing, diagnostics and repair
  • Hands-on problem solver who can tackle non-standard jobs
  • Able to run your own workflow and take pride in the result
  • Reliable, sound to work with, and into what we build

The Stuff That'll Make You Stand Out

  • Performance, modifying or custom build experience
  • Bike as well as car experience
  • Welding / fabrication skills
  • Electrical and wiring know-how
  • Your own tools
  • A genuine passion for the custom car and bike scene

What You Get

  • [£16–£19 per hour, depending on experience]
  • Statutory holiday entitlement
  • Paid breaks
  • Early finish every Friday — weekend starts at midday
  • Varied, interesting work — builds and projects, not just oil changes
  • A small, tight crew that cares about doing things properly

To Apply

Hit Apply on Indeed with your CV. If you've worked on builds or projects you're proud of, tell us about them — we want to know what you can actually do.

Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour
