Night Manager (15-Month Fixed-Term Maternity Cover)Join Our Team as a Night Manager!

Are you a night owl with a passion for hospitality? We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Night Manager to join our team on a 15-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role within a luxury boutique hotel, ensuring our guests receive exceptional service throughout the night while overseeing the smooth and safe operation of the hotel.

About Us

We are a luxurious boutique hotel in London, offering approximately 140 beautifully designed guest rooms, stylish restaurants, leisure facilities, conference and event spaces, all with stunning views of one of London's most iconic areas.

Position Overview

As the Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during the night shift. Your primary focus will be ensuring the safety and security of our guests, colleagues, and property, while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining our high operational standards.

This role requires excellent leadership, strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Contract: Fixed-term (15 months – Maternity Cover)
Hours: Full-time (Night shifts)
Salary: £32,864 per annum plus service charge
Reporting to: Front Office Manager

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership

  • Supervise the overnight Front Office and Night Cleaning teams.
  • Support, coach and train overnight colleagues to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and other departments to ensure efficient overnight operations.

Guest Service

  • Deliver a warm, professional welcome to all guests in line with our service standards.
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests and complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Assist with guest arrivals and departures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Security & Safety

  • Take responsibility for the safe and secure operation of the hotel between 11:00 pm and 7:30 am, five nights per week.
  • Lead emergency procedures, including fire evacuations and other health and safety incidents.
  • Carry out regular security patrols throughout the hotel.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, disturbances or security incidents in accordance with company procedures.

Administration & Systems

  • Monitor hotel operating systems, including reservations, billing and CCTV.
  • Complete night audit procedures and prepare daily operational reports.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks to support the following day's operations.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel Front Office or Night Management role.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Good knowledge of hotel operations and Front Office procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience using hotel property management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Eligibility
