We are seeking a Sample Management Technician for our Safety Assessment Group located in Elphinstone, Tranent.

THIS ROLE DOES NOT REQUIRE A DEGREE. GRADUATES NEED NOT APPLY IN THIS INSTANCE.

The following are responsibilities related to the position:

  • Barcode labelling of samples received from Clinical studies
  • Using LIMS system to track samples received from Clinical studies
  • Sample discrepancy management
  • Assist in the conduct of technical laboratory activities in support of client studies or procedures.
  • Follow written instructions (SOPs, protocols) and document details of steps carried out to ensure compliance through recreation of events
  • Record data in compliance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
  • Quality control checking and other administrative tasks as required.

Applicants should have:

  • An interest in working in a laboratory environment
  • A desire to work as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Willingness to learn new processes
