We are seeking a Sample Management Technician for our Safety Assessment Group located in Elphinstone, Tranent.
THIS ROLE DOES NOT REQUIRE A DEGREE. GRADUATES NEED NOT APPLY IN THIS INSTANCE.
The following are responsibilities related to the position:
- Barcode labelling of samples received from Clinical studies
- Using LIMS system to track samples received from Clinical studies
- Sample discrepancy management
- Assist in the conduct of technical laboratory activities in support of client studies or procedures.
- Follow written instructions (SOPs, protocols) and document details of steps carried out to ensure compliance through recreation of events
- Record data in compliance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
- Quality control checking and other administrative tasks as required.
Applicants should have:
- An interest in working in a laboratory environment
- A desire to work as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Willingness to learn new processes
