Graduate Biology Teaching Assistant
Future Science Teacher Pathway

Location: Kettering
Salary: £497–£525 per week
Hours: Full-time | Term-time only
Start Date: September 2026

Shape A Life is partnered with a leading multi-academy trust with secondary schools across Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.

A secondary school in Kettering is welcoming a Biology graduate to join the team from September 2026.

This opportunity is ideal for graduates considering a future in Science teaching and wanting genuine school experience before beginning teacher training.

The Opportunity

You will work within secondary Science departments supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 while learning from experienced teachers and school leaders.

Your role may include:

  • Supporting pupils in Science lessons
  • Delivering Biology-focused interventions
  • Working 1:1 with pupils needing additional support
  • Helping pupils build confidence in Science
  • Supporting practical learning and investigations
  • Reinforcing classroom learning and engagement
  • Supporting revision and exam preparation
  • Encouraging curiosity and participation within lessons

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop classroom confidence while gaining exposure to high-quality secondary school environments.

Who This Role Would Suit

This role is ideal for graduates with degrees in:
