The opportunity

Are you someone who enjoys working in a laboratory environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality results?

We're looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our technical team, where you'll play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations and new product development.

This is an opportunity to apply your laboratory skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment, carrying out testing, supporting product development, and helping to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues and contribute to the development of innovative products and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role focuses on our Fire Fighting products which includes fire suppression foams and firefighting agents.

We supply customers globally and are focused on strengthening our international presence while growing new business across key oil & gas markets.

What will I do?

  • Support the testing and evaluation of firefighting foam products, carrying out laboratory and fire performance testing to recognised industry standards.
  • Assist with research and development activities, contributing to the development, evaluation and continuous improvement of new and existing firefighting foam products.
  • Perform quality control testing on raw materials and manufactured products to ensure compliance with company specifications and international standards.
  • Prepare test samples, foam concentrates, produce foam test kits and sampling bottles for laboratory, customer and certification testing.
  • Maintain the laboratory, fire testing hut and associated equipment, ensuring facilities are clean, safe and fully operational, with routine equipment inspections and records maintained.
  • Accurately record test results, maintain laboratory documentation and prepare reports in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support product certification, customer testing and technical projects by preparing samples and assisting with testing activities.
  • Work closely with the Technical team to deliver high-quality laboratory services and support the ongoing development of innovative firefighting foam solutions.

  • Laboratory experience or a degree level qualification in Chemistry or a related field
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
