Full job description
This is an outstanding opportunity for a postgraduate wishing to work in AI-based medical image analysis, with a background in machine learning, to work within the Breast Imaging Research group under the supervision of Prof Susan Astley Theodossiadis. The post holder will be in the Division of Informatics, Imaging and Data Science, and based in the Stopford Building on Oxford Road.
The candidate will support the aims of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre. This innovative project will study AI methods for the early detection of breast cancer from mammograms.
This position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to work as part of a sociable multi-disciplinary team consisting of a research fellow, research associate and PhD student supported by colleagues with expertise in AI and epidemiology. The ideal candidate will have excellent computational skills and will be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience of artificial intelligence and coding in Python is essential for the position.
