About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Design Engineer roles within our engineering practice. We are looking to build relationships with talented design professionals who can contribute to the development of innovative products and solutions across the UK.

Roles of this type typically sit within collaborative engineering teams where you would have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise to real-world design challenges. The work could involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting product development from concept through to delivery, and contributing to designs that meet stringent quality and compliance standards.

Typical role overview

  • Location: Birmingham, Bristol, Coventry or nationwide UK
  • Type: Contract · Full-time
  • Day Rate: £250–280 per day or £350–380 per day, depending on experience and seniority
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Standard: ISO 9001

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Contributing to the design and development of mechanical, electrical or control systems
  • Supporting the creation of design documentation, specifications and technical drawings
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to refine designs and resolve technical challenges
  • Ensuring designs meet relevant standards, regulations and quality requirements
  • Participating in design reviews and providing technical input
  • Supporting the transition of designs from concept through to manufacturing or implementation

What you could bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or related discipline)
  • Demonstrated experience in product design or engineering design roles
  • Proficiency with CAD software and design tools
