BMR Solutions are supporting the recruitment of an exciting Test Engineer opportunity with a highly advanced engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Bristol.

As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the testing, fault finding, commissioning, and validation of advanced electro-mechanical systems, ensuring products meet the highest quality and performance standards within a precision manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Test Engineer, responsibilities will include:

  • Testing, commissioning, and validating advanced engineering systems and equipment
  • Diagnosing and fault-finding electrical, mechanical, and system-level issues
  • Following detailed test procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Recording and reporting test results, failures, and non-conformances accurately
  • Supporting product quality, reliability, and performance standards
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to meet manufacturing schedules and delivery targets
  • Ensuring all activities comply with health & safety and quality procedures

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience within a test, engineering, manufacturing, or production environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (desirable/advantageous)
  • A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience using test equipment and validation processes (desirable)
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern
  • An engineering qualification such as NVQ, HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent (advantageous)
