Overview

Join our dynamic team as a remote Veterinary Equipment Engineer Service Technician. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a wide range of veterinary medical equipment used in animal clinics, laboratories, and other facilities. Your expertise will ensure that veterinary professionals have reliable tools to deliver exceptional care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with a passion for animal health, all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of veterinary medical equipment including diagnostic machines, anesthesia units, sterilisers, and laboratory instruments.
  • Calibrate and validate equipment performance to meet industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide remote technical support and guidance to clients via phone or video calls to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Document service activities thoroughly in digital records, including maintenance logs and repair reports.
  • Collaborate with clients to schedule preventive maintenance visits and ensure minimal downtime of critical equipment.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary technology and equipment standards through ongoing training.
  • Assist in developing user manuals and training materials to enhance client understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Prior laboratory or veterinary clinic engineering experience is highly desirable, providing a strong foundation in medical or laboratory equipment handling.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills for clear instructions and troubleshooting support.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for occasional travel to client sites when necessary.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to navigate diagnostic software, remote support tools, and digital record systems.
  • Knowledge of biochemistry or related scientific fields is a plus for understanding complex laboratory instruments.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members across diverse settings.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple service requests efficiently.
