Overview

As a Medical Gas Maintenance Engineer, you will help maintain the safe, reliable operation of medical gas systems. You will carry out practical maintenance tasks, identify faults and support timely repairs, following relevant procedures and recording work clearly. Your impact: dependable systems help clinical teams access the medical gases they need to care for patients.

The ideal candidate will be located within the South East allowing good access to all our southern based clients

Duties:

1) To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance ( P.P.M ) as per the Companies standard Maintenance Schedule on Medical and Industrial Gas Pipeline Systems as listed above in accordance with the Maintenance Code of Practice.

2) To carry out Repairs to Medical & Industrial Gas Pipeline Systems as listed above.

3) To carry out Servicing & Overhauling of Medical & Industrial Gas Pipeline Systems as listed above.

4) To carry out Emergency Call Outs to rectify faults on the above listed equipment.

5) To Carry out Installations, Modifications & Upgrades of Medical & Industrial Gas Pipeline Systems as listed above.

6) To receive and review all information concerning the updating of statutory requirements or codes of practice from the Maintenance Manager and incorporate these in their day to day working practices.

7) To complete all paperwork relevant to the above tasks, including the booking out and return of unused materials.

8) To carry out any other duties as designated by the Maintenance Manager or any other member of Senior Management in their absence.

Health & Safety:

1 To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.

2 To cooperate with any representative of D&L Medical to fulfil their statutory responsibilities.

3 Not to interfere with deliberately or misuse anything provided, in accordance with health and safety legislation, to further health and safety at work.

Key Working Relationships:

The postholder will work under the supervision of line management but will also be expected to work under their own initiative. There is a need for the excellent communication and maintenance of relationship with all staff and clients.

Hours of Work:

Your normal hours of work are 45 hours per week Monday to Friday, with an unpaid break of 60 minutes. These normal hours of work may be varied to meet the needs of the Company.

You may be required to work hours in addition to those above. This may include the need to work shifts, unsocial hours and weekends.

Required Experience/ Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role, Maintenance of medical / laboratory gas systems is a must with understanding of HTM 02
• Medical Gas Competent Persons MGPS CP accreditation
• CSCS card
• Excellent communication skills
• Driving License

Ongoing Company Health and Safety training will be provided.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
