About the Role

Titon is looking for a Test and Validation Engineer to join our Research & Development team. This role is central to ensuring our ventilation products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll take ownership of internal testing capability—designing and developing test systems, analysing data, and delivering insights that directly influence product innovation and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and continuously improve test rigs, instrumentation, and automated test systems
  • Plan and execute product and component testing to support development and compliance
  • Develop and maintain test methods, standards, and laboratory equipment
  • Implement and enhance automated testing solutions (e.g. LabVIEW)
  • Lead or support accelerated life and reliability testing initiatives
  • Analyse test data to identify trends and provide actionable engineering insights
  • Produce clear, accurate technical reports and validation documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Production
  • Work with external laboratories and certification bodies where required
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards within testing environments

What You’ll Bring (Essential)

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline
  • Experience designing/building test rigs or laboratory equipment
  • Strong understanding of test methods, instrumentation, and data acquisition
  • Experience with test automation systems (e.g. LabVIEW)
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret engineering data
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical insights
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and validation processes

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with HVAC, ventilation, or air movement systems
  • Knowledge of accelerated life testing or environmental testing
  • Familiarity with industry standards for building services or ventilation
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, or advanced Excel
  • Understanding of airflow, pressure, temperature, or environmental instrumentation
