Customer Service Executive | Pharmaceutical Graduate Opportunity
£15 per hour + Bonus Scheme + Long-Term Career Prospects
There are entry-level jobs, and then there are opportunities that genuinely set somebody on a career path.
This is one of those opportunities.
We're recruiting on behalf of a highly successful pharmaceutical organisation that has built an outstanding reputation within its specialist market. Having partnered with this business for many years, we've seen first-hand the careers that can be developed here. In fact, the individual currently performing this role was placed by us around a year ago and has already secured a promotion within the commercial division.
If you're a science, life sciences or pharmaceutical graduate looking to gain valuable industry experience and build a long-term career within the pharmaceutical sector, this could be exactly the opportunity you've been searching for.
Working as part of a supportive and collaborative commercial team, you'll play a key role in helping healthcare professionals access important medicines whilst supporting a range of customer, commercial and supply chain activities. This is far more than a traditional customer service role. You'll gain exposure to the commercial side of the pharmaceutical industry, building relationships with healthcare professionals, supporting national initiatives and helping ensure that medicines reach patients efficiently and effectively.
Your responsibilities will include supporting dispensing practices with access to commercial schemes, answering customer enquiries, resolving issues, maintaining accurate records and working closely with sales, commercial and supply chain colleagues to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You'll also support a range of business initiatives and campaigns, giving you valuable exposure to how a successful pharmaceutical company operates.
We're looking for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive approach and a genuine interest in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. You may have recently completed a degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or a similar subject. Equally, you may already have some customer-facing experience and be looking for a route into the pharmaceutical industry.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, learning new things and taking ownership of your work.
To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:
- A degree in a science, pharmaceutical, healthcare or business-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- A positive, resilient and professional approach.
- A genuine interest in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
- The willingness to complete the ABPI qualification as part of your professional development.
In return, you'll join a business that genuinely invests in its people and offers real opportunities for progression. This position is initially offered on a long-term temporary basis, paying approximately £15 per hour, with eligibility for a bonus scheme after six months. For the right individual, there is also the potential for the role to become permanent in the future.
For ambitious graduates or early-career professionals looking to get their foot in the door with a respected pharmaceutical organisation, opportunities like this are rare.
If you're keen to learn, develop and build a career within the pharmaceutical industry, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now to take the first step towards an exciting career in pharmaceuticals, or contact Will Taylor at Hays in Lincoln for more information.
