Full job description

We're recruiting for a Sales & Technical Support Specialist to join a growing scientific instrumentation company supplying environmental and water testing solutions across the UK.

This role would suit someone with a Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science or similar degree who is looking for a varied role combining technical support, customer interaction and scientific problem-solving.

What's on offer?

  • Full product and application training
  • Progression into a field-based technical role
  • Customer demonstrations, installations and training
  • Exposure to environmental and water testing technologies
  • Small, supportive team
  • Annual profit share bonus
  • 25 days holiday plus birthday off

The role

Initially, you'll be office-based, supporting customers with technical enquiries, troubleshooting and product support whilst learning the product range.

As your knowledge develops, you'll become involved in:

  • Customer demonstrations
  • Product training
  • Instrument installations
  • Site visits across the UK
  • Technical and application support

You'll work closely with Product Managers and Field Engineers and become a technical specialist across a range of environmental and water testing products.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science or similar
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Able to commute to Forest Row
  • Happy to travel across the UK and stay away occasionally following training

Laboratory, research, technical support, customer service or commercial experience would all be of interest.

This position would suit someone who enjoys science but is looking for a more varied and customer-facing career path than a traditional laboratory role.
