Full job description
Do you have proven leadership skills in overseeing the delivery of a clinical research portfolio as a Clinical Research Nurse or Practitioner and a strong background in surgical or cancer research?
We have a new post opportunity for a highly-skilled, and enthusiastic research professional to come and lead our Volatile Organic Complex research portfolio of high-volume, fast paced observational studies. The successful candidate will be leading a team of Clinical Research Practitioners and Research Nurses to deliver a portfolio of observational clinical research studies, spread over all 3 hospital sites. As well as an active role in recruitment and team leadership the post holder will also take on light trial management duties for the study sponsor – Imperial College London, including assistance with NHS costings and PPIE activities.
You will possess excellent management, leadership and interpersonal skills in order to meet the targets of the studies, support the delivery team and work effectively with colleagues while also raising the profile of research within the Trust.
You will be required to collaborate closely with leading investigators, study support personnel from within the Trust, Imperial College and the wider multidisciplinary team, to ensure that patients the Trust serve have maximum opportunity to participate in clinical research, that the quality of service we provide to our patients, clinicians and sponsors is exemplary and that as a team we raise the profile of clinical research within the Trust.
You will be required to manage your own workload, oversee that of the teams along with the day to day management and the future planning of resources. You should possess a passion for training and education and a desire to create and maintain highly skilled and responsive delivery team.
A proactive, flexible and solution orientated approach is essential.
At Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.
Become part of a vibrant team living our values - expert, kind, collaborative and aspirational. You’ll get an experience like no other and will fast forward your career. Benefits include career development, flexible working and wellbeing, staff recognition scheme. Make use of optional benefits including Cycle to Work, car lease schemes, season ticket loan or membership options for onsite leisure facilities.
We are committed to equal opportunities and improving the working lives of our staff and will consider applications to work flexibly, part time or job share. Please talk to us at interview.
