The Role

We’re looking for an R&D Technician who’s excited to bring their skills and ideas to the table. In this role, you’ll execute product designs working to customer-defined requirements, in accordance with the company's competitiveness and cost guidelines.

What You’ll Be

• Establish, in collaboration with the sales team and clients, the requirements for the design of the content and packaging of private label products.
• Establish, in collaboration with the sales team, the work strategies for sales calls and future product launches with new clients.
• Investigate the feasibility of the requirements presented by the client in order to advise them and suggest alternatives in the recipes and materials to be used in the content and packaging designs.
• Define the final product design specifications (content, packaging, or both) and develop the product with suppliers and relevant departments within the organization.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, maintenance, packaging, and quality control to manufacture products with the new design.
• Propose action plans to correct existing deviations.
• Propose cost reduction projects.
• Monitor the implementation of new product designs throughout the entire process, according to the requirements agreed upon with the client.
• Identify opportunities to improve value creation in product design and propose projects for their development.
• Promote collaboration with other departments involved in developing the new design.
• Maintain up-to-date databases relevant to your area of ​​expertise for product definition in SAP, labeling, and justification of labeling based on legal requirements.
• Maintain and update external technical documentation for clients, according to their requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Agricultural Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Fluent Spanish is a plus. Minimum level B2.
• Knowledge of food legislation / Food Defense.

The following is desireable but is not a requirement of the role:

• 2 years of experience in R&D or Quality.
