Bluezone Scientific are hiring for a Laboratory Analyst to join their existing team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis of waters for a range of chemical and microbiological parameters
  • Preparation and analysis of samples in line with client and regulatory requirements
  • Maintenance of quality control in compliance with quality systems
  • Calibration and maintenance of equipment
  • Ensuring adherence to all SOPs and regulatory guidance
  • Identification and escalation of any sources of non-compliance to the Laboratory Manager
  • Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
  • Keep equipment in a clean and serviceable condition and ensure the safe removal of waste.
  • Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and adequate checks
  • Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments

The person
Education/Experience

  • Degree educated in a scientific discipline - or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a Microbiology or Chemistry Laboratory
  • Experience of analysing Legionella
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 (desirable)
