Full job description

We're looking for a Biomedical Scientist to join a HSE hospital laboratory in Carlow. This agency opportunity offers Monday to Friday hours, giving you the chance to develop your experience while maintaining a great work-life balance.

What You'll Need

  • CORU registration (or eligibility for registration)
  • A recognised qualification in Biomedical Science
  • Previous laboratory experience in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Garda Vetting (or willingness to complete)
  • Overseas Police Clearance, where applicable
  • Up-to-date immunisations, including Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella and TB screening

Your Role

  • Perform routine and specialised laboratory testing on patient samples
  • Analyse, interpret and accurately record laboratory results
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in line with quality standards
  • Follow laboratory policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of high-quality patient care
