Woodstock Bower Group Practice is recruiting for a Clinical Research Associate with experience monitoring sites. We run commercial phase 3 and 2 clinical trials for major pharmaceutical sponsors across areas including obesity, cardiometabolic disease and respiratory medicine, alongside NIHR portfolio studies. Based from a primary care site means we work closely with our patients and the wider community, and we’re proud of the quality and pace of our recruitment.

We’re expanding, and we’re looking for a Clinical Research Assistant to help us deliver more studies to a high standard.

You’ll be a hands-on member of the research team, supporting the Principal Investigator, Sub-Investigators and Study Co-ordinator across the full study lifecycle – from feasibility and set-up through to patient visits, data entry and close-out.

Day to day, this includes:

• Screening practice records and PIC referrals to identify eligible patients, and booking screening and study visits
• Carrying out study procedures within your competence (e.g. observations, ECGs, phlebotomy, sample processing and shipping, questionnaires)
• Accurate, contemporaneous source documentation and timely eCRF/EDC data entry
• Resolving data queries and preparing for monitoring visits
• Maintaining the Investigator Site File, logs and essential documents in line with ICH-GCP
• Managing IMP accountability, temperature logs and lab kit stock
• Liaising with sponsors, CROs, monitors and central labs
• Supporting audits and inspections

About you

Essential

• Experience working in clinical research – in a site, CRO or sponsor role
• Current GCP certificate (or willingness to complete on appointment)
• Strong attention to detail and confidence with data entry and documentation
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle several studies at once
• Good communication skills with patients, clinicians and external partners
• Comfortable with IT systems and learning new sponsor platforms

Desirable

• Clinical Research Associate (CRA) / monitoring experience – we’d particularly welcome applicants who’ve worked on the monitoring side and know what a clean, inspection-ready site looks like
• Experience of commercial phase 2/3 trials
• Phlebotomy, ECG and sample processing skills
• Experience of IATA dangerous goods shipping
