Full job description

We’re looking for a Test & Calibration Engineer to join our growing team.

We are a UK leader in testing and calibrating primary care medical equipment, supporting GP surgeries across the country to keep essential devices safe, accurate and compliant.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in the medical engineering sector or take on a hands-on, customer-facing field role.

The Role

The area encompasses Liverpool through to Llandudno and Anglesey

You’ll travel to customer sites across the North West, carrying out scheduled testing and calibration of low-risk medical devices.

Important: This is not a repair role — the focus is on compliance, testing and accuracy.

Typical equipment includes:

  • Defibrillators
  • Thermometers
  • Medical weighing scales
  • Pulse oximeters
  • Other primary care diagnostic equipment

This is a customer-facing position, so professionalism, communication and reliability are key.

Details:

  • 37.5 hours per week (typically 08:00 – 15:30 on-site)
  • Minimal overtime
  • Regular travel across the region
  • Occasional overnight stays (hotel, expenses and allowance covered)

You’ll work closely with the office team to manage your schedule, maintain strong relationships with customers, and support repeat annual bookings.

What We’re Looking For

  • Engineering experience in the UK
  • Strong junior engineers also considered
  • Comfortable working in a field-based role across the North West, from Liverpool to Llandudno
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Ability to work independently to a high standard
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Physically fit (role includes moving equipment, including test weights up to 150kg)

Above all, we’re looking for reliable, motivated individuals with a willingness to learn and strong people skills

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Enhanced maternity leave
  • Enhanced paternity leave
  • On-site parking
  • Sick pay

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Tredegar NP22 5PY
