We are currently accepting applications from motivated and skilled individuals to join our applicant pool for the Part-Time Faculty, Medical Laboratory Technician position. While we may not have an immediate opening available at this time, we appreciate your interest in future opportunities. Open positions vary from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the program. While there may not be immediate openings, the hiring manager will review applications when openings do occur, and qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation.

Major Job Duties:

Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and/or laboratory format based on the approved course outline by selecting and utilizing a variety of approved course materials and teaching methods that address all learning modalities to ensure that the needs of individual students in the program are met.

  • Assess student learning using appropriate methods.

  • Conduct an engaging classroom lecture and/or lab based on the course outline.

  • Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity for concerns and actively involving students in classroom discussions and/or activities.

  • Make arrangements for equipment and supplies, or other activities as needed.

  • Complete all course assessments as required.

  • Use technology to enhance the teaching/learning in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science

  • Current ASCP-BOC U.S. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist

  • Three years clinical experience

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Medical Technology, Health Sciences, Education, or a related field
