Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Lab Technician specialising in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our electronic products through precise testing and analysis. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise within a leading organisation committed to innovation and excellence.
Duties
- Conduct EMC testing on various electronic devices in accordance with industry standards and protocols.
- Prepare test samples, set up testing equipment, and document test procedures meticulously.
- Analyse test data to identify potential issues related to electromagnetic interference or compatibility.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Assist in the development and improvement of testing methodologies and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret test results and support product development processes.
- Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong interest in quality assurance within an electronics or engineering environment.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately.
- Knowledge of EMC standards, testing procedures, and relevant industry regulations is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant qualifications in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field are preferred but not essential. This role offers a stimulating environment for individuals passionate about technical excellence and continuous learning within the electronics industry.
Pay: £27,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
