Role: Core Lab Sales Specialist/Biomedical Scientist

Location: Field-Based – West Midlands (covering adjacent counties where required)

Hours: Full-time

Pay: £250 – £300 per day PAYE basic excluding holiday pay or £331.10 – £397.31 per day UMB including holiday pay

Contract: 12-Month Contract (Inside IR35)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Core Lab Sales Specialist to join one of our longstanding global healthcare clients. This field-based role offers the opportunity to drive business growth across NHS and private healthcare accounts, delivering innovative diagnostic solutions while building long-term customer partnerships.

The Requirements:

· Relevant experience within medical diagnostics, in-vitro diagnostics, pathology, Blood Sciences or Core Laboratory services

· Direct diagnostics industry experience or a Biomedical Scientist background

· Understanding of NHS pathology and laboratory environments

· Strong customer-facing, relationship management and influencing skills

· Excellent communication skills with technical and commercial stakeholders

· Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience

· Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region

Desirable:

· Experience within Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Haematology or multidisciplinary Blood Sciences

· Previous diagnostics sales or account management experience

· Applications Specialist or Product Specialist experience

· Knowledge of automated Core Laboratory platforms and laboratory workflows

· Experience with NHS tenders, procurement processes or framework agreements

· Experience working within a matrix-managed organisation

The Role:

· Identify and develop new business opportunities across the West Midlands

· Grow and protect the Core Laboratory and Blood Sciences product portfolio

· Build long-term relationships with NHS and private healthcare customers

· Deliver consultative sales solutions based on customer needs

· Develop account plans and regional sales strategies

· Manage a robust sales pipeline and opportunity forecasts

· Lead or support tender submissions and contract renewals

· Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity

· Work collaboratively with Sales, Applications, Technical Support, Marketing and Service teams

· Share customer, competitor and market intelligence to support business growth
