Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Service Engineer to join the service team, supporting customers across London and the M25.

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of digital X-ray and mammography equipment, including digital radiography (DR), computed radiography (CR), mobile X-ray systems, imaging workstations and associated software.

This is a home-based position, ideally suited to an engineer living in East London. Overnight stays and out-of-hours work are very rare.

The role would suit an experienced Field Service Engineer, Medical Imaging Engineer or Biomedical Engineer. Engineers from high-end medical device or military engineering backgrounds, including REME, RAF and Royal Navy, will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Install, service and repair digital X-ray and mammography equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, upgrades and technical fault finding.
• Support equipment installations, including pre-installation site visits and project updates.
• Assist with equipment demonstrations alongside sales and applications teams.
• Respond to technical enquiries from customers and internal colleagues.
• Take ownership of technical issues and escalate where necessary.
• Manage spare parts and maintain accurate car stock inventory records.
• Train customers on equipment use before and after installation.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation in line with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Follow health and safety procedures and patient data requirements.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.

Person Specification

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Medical Imaging Engineer, Biomedical Engineer or similar.
• Strong electrical, electronic and technical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with X-ray, digital radiography (DR), computed radiography (CR) or mammography equipment would be highly beneficial.
• Experience within high-end medical devices or healthcare technology would be beneficial.
• Military / REME engineering experience, including RAF or Royal Navy backgrounds, will be considered.
• Knowledge of networking within a Microsoft Windows environment.
• An HNC, HND or degree in an engineering discipline would be desirable but is not essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to manage customer concerns professionally.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Package:

• Up to £45,000 basic salary
• 10% OTE performance bonus
