Are you looking for an opportunity to support a business creating life-saving treatments? If so, we can't wait to meet you!
We are looking for a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our Clinical Laboratory team at our Belfast Clinic site.

In this role, you will analyse body fluid specimens in line with client protocols and standard operating procedures, while working closely with clinical laboratory colleagues to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and service.

What you will do

  • Prepare, process and analyse body fluid specimens using manual and automated testing procedures.
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain clinical laboratory instruments.
  • Perform quality control checks, review analytical runs and document test data accurately.
  • Enter laboratory requests and analytical results, create worklists and QC lab orders.
  • Manage routine lab materials, send-out supplies and related requests.
  • Support study set-up, special projects, SOP updates and internal/external quality investigations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, supervisory staff and clients to support smooth laboratory operations.
  • Take part in associate training, meetings and in-service education.

Training and development

You will receive training across a variety of laboratory disciplines, including chemistry, haematology, urinalysis, virology, microscopy and more. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical skills while contributing to important clinical research studies.

Rewards

We offer an attractive salary and benefits package, along with the chance to develop within a respected global clinical research organisation.

Requirements

  • Biomedical Scientist degree, or equivalent certification.
  • Clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently once fully trained, as well as collaboratively within a busy team.
  • Willingness to work a flexible shift schedule, including weekday and weekend shifts, with some evening or early morning hours.
