We’re looking for an enthusiastic Instructor to join our Training team—someone who thrives on developing people, sharing knowledge, and helping learners build confidence in real-world, hands-on environments. Whether your background is in forestry or across the wider land-based sector, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience


Essential Professional and Technical experience

  • Good knowledge and experience across a range of practical land-based skills.
  • A passion for passing on a wide range of land based practical skills.
  • Proven track record in planning and managing own timetable of work and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Professional and Technical experience

  • Knowledge or experience in various training methods including coaching, workshops, classroom training and mentoring.
  • Ability to track the performance of training programmes, write reports and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating a range of training events across a broad range of topics.
  • Good understanding of the training cycle and its relevance to effective training.

Essential criteria

  • First Aid and appropriate endorsement.
  • Willingness to achieve a L3 Training Qualification within 9 months.

Desirable criteria

  • Assessor qualification for example D32/ D33 or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Education & Training (or equivalent)
  • NPTC/Lantra Certificate Safe use of pesticides (PA1)
  • NPTC/Lantra Certificate in Brus-hcutter, trimmer & clearing saw
  • NPTC/Lantra Certificate in Pesticide application using handheld applicators (PA6a)
  • NPTC/Lantra Certificate in Chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting
  • NPTC/Lantra Certificate in Felling trees up to 380mm
  • NPTC/Lantra Certificate in Felling trees over 380mm

You will be asked to write a 200-word statement on your relevant experience and career history, along with a personal statement of no more than 500 words.
