Full job description

Lake District Giveaways | Penrith, Cumbria
Full-time or Part Time - flexible hours
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Lake District Giveaways is looking for a creative, confident and switched-on Content Creator to join our team.

We’re a fast-growing UK competition business based in Penrith, Cumbria known for big prize draws, real winner moments, car giveaways, cash prizes, instant wins and creative social media campaigns. We’re looking for someone who can help bring the LDG brand to life across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

This role is perfect for someone who loves creating engaging content, has a good eye for social trends, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in behind the camera, in front of the camera, or out on the road capturing winner moments.

The Role

You’ll be helping plan, film, edit and post content for Lake District Giveaways, including prize launches, winner visits, behind-the-scenes clips, promotional videos, social posts, reels, stories and live draw content.

You’ll work closely with the LDG team to create content that feels fun, trustworthy, exciting and on-brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Filming and editing short-form video content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Creating engaging reels, stories, winner videos, promo videos and behind-the-scenes content
  • Attending winner visits and prize handovers where required
  • Helping plan creative content ideas for current and upcoming competitions
  • Capturing photos and videos of prizes, winners, live draws and team activity
  • Keeping up with social media trends and adapting them to suit the LDG brand
  • Writing captions and basic post copy when needed
  • Helping maintain a consistent brand style across all content
  • Supporting with live draw content and promotional campaigns
  • Being flexible and proactive when last-minute content opportunities pop up

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience creating content for social media
  • Confident filming on a phone or camera
  • Basic video editing skills
  • Good understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Creative mindset with lots of ideas
  • Good attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident, reliable and organised
  • Willing to travel locally for winner visits and content shoots
  • Full UK driving licence required

Nice to Have

  • Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop or similar
  • Experience creating content for a brand or business
  • Comfortable appearing on camera
  • Photography experience
  • Understanding of paid social ads and what makes content perform well
  • Interest in cars, prizes, giveaways or local community content

About You

You’ll need to be creative, energetic and able to spot a good content opportunity quickly. We don’t want boring corporate content. We want real, engaging, scroll-stopping videos that make people trust the brand, enter competitions and enjoy following LDG.

You’ll be happy getting involved, trying new ideas and bringing personality to the role.

Location

The role will be based around Penrith, Cumbria, with some work from our base and some work out on location for prize shoots, winner visits and promotional content.

Pay: From £24,785.00 per year
