We are an independent nursery that opened in September 2021 with an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted.

We have an exciting career opportunity due to recent expansion. The position is for a full time Level 3 Qualified Practitioner to work Full Time.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children.

We have an exciting extra curricular programme with different activities on offer everyday including Balance Bike Lessons, Spanish, Forest School, Moo Music, Phonics with robot reg, Dance & Yoga. This is a wonderful experience for the children and also incredible on site training for our staff.

We encourage our staff to take children out into the big wide world using our Blossom Barn Mini-Bus for exciting trips.

At Blossom Barn, we feel it is important for staff to spend time with the children, therefore we ensure staff do not have lots of paperwork. We feel family and work life balance is important and therefore do not require staff to take work home with them.

Rates of pay for all positions are dependent upon experience and qualifications and will be discussed at the interview stage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing updates with parents as appropriate.
  • Support the nursery's policies and procedures while promoting a positive atmosphere that encourages children's curiosity and creativity.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating best practices in childcare and early years education.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly required.
  • Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a calm and organised environment.
  • Leadership skills are an advantage, as you may be required to mentor junior staff or students on placement.
