Cardiff | £32,000 - £36,000 + Significant Uncapped Annual Bonus

About the Business

Our client is one of the UK’s leading specialist distributors of BMS controls, supplying customers nationwide across a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. Combining technical expertise with exceptional customer service, the business has become a trusted partner to contractors, system integrators and facilities management companies throughout the UK.

As this is a full-time office-based role, we’re ideally looking for someone who is already based in Cardiff.

The Role

You’ll manage an established portfolio of customer accounts while proactively identifying opportunities to develop new business across your territory.

Working closely with customers, suppliers and the external sales team, you’ll prepare quotations, provide technical advice and help deliver successful project outcomes. This is a varied and commercially focused role where you’ll combine relationship building, technical knowledge and commercial awareness to deliver outstanding solutions for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing an established portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Preparing quotations and processing customer enquiries.
  • Providing technical advice and product recommendations.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new business.
  • Working closely with the external sales team on customer projects.
  • Liaising with suppliers to source products and resolve technical enquiries.
  • Building relationships with BMS system integrators, mechanical contractors, HVAC distributors and facilities management companies.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service throughout the sales process.

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, has a proactive commercial approach and wants to develop a long-term career within technical sales.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience within HVAC, BMS, building services or a similar technical distribution environment.
  • Previous experience in internal sales, technical sales or account management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commercially minded approach with the confidence to identify new opportunities.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The technical aptitude to understand a specialist product range.
  • A positive attitude and genuine ambition to develop your career.
