Marina Operative / Marina Maintenance

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Marina Maintenance Operative to support the day-to-day maintenance, presentation, and safe operation of the marina.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across the marina site and facilities
  • Maintain pontoons, walkways, moorings, and communal areas to a high standard
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues requiring attention
  • Assist with basic boat care and marina support activities as required
  • Clean and maintain welfare facilities, including toilets, showers, and communal areas
  • Support the safe operation of fuel and pump-out facilities following appropriate procedures
  • Undertake grounds maintenance and ensure the marina environment remains clean, safe, and well presented
  • Assist with health and safety checks and help maintain compliance with site procedures
  • Support customers and marina users with general enquiries when required
  • Work closely with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of daily marina operations

What we're looking for

  • Practical maintenance experience, ideally gained in a facilities, property, outdoor, or marine environment
  • Competence in carrying out a range of basic repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Positive and professional approach with good communication skills
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Marina, boating, waterside, or marine experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high standards
