Dual registered Children’s Home Manager

It is exciting times at Bayleaf Care as we continue to expand. One of our existing registered managers is moving on to a new project within Bayleaf Care, so we are now looking for a dual registered manager for our existing 2-bedded children’s home in Haunton, near Tamworth and our 2 bedded children’s home in Alrewas near Lichfield. The homes are 5 miles apart and look after young people with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.

The salary is £62,000 - £68,000 and there is also an OFSTED bonus scheme.

Annual leave entitlement is 35 days which includes bank holidays.

About Chapel House:

The property itself is a spacious, detached residence, surrounded by expansive greenery and ample outdoor space. This special property has been beautifully renovated, and although it has 4 bedrooms, it is designed to only offer 2 young people a home so they can be in a peaceful and spacious environment, a place where they have a sense of belonging and call their own.

Alrewas is a charming and historic village in Staffordshire, England, situated along the River Trent and the Trent and Mersey Canal which have walks. Located just north of Lichfield, it is globally renowned for housing the National Memorial Arboretum

About Bayleaf Care

Bayleaf Care provides exceptional care for children and young people across the UK, especially those who have faced trauma. We use the PACE model, which creates a safe, caring environment to help children feel secure and build positive relationships.

Our approach starts with the key worker, who forms a strong, trusting bond with the child. This relationship is essential for the child’s development and continues throughout their care.

We offer personalized care, education, and treatment led by a team of trained professionals, helping children manage their emotions and behaviours in a safe, supportive environment.

There are currently 7 children’s homes open, 2 of these homes have their own school onsite. Bayleaf is expanding with more children’s homes on the horizon. We are also in the process of opening 2 leaving care homes and 3 CQC registered adult homes so are all our young people can remain in our care by transitioning into these services. In September 2026 we opened a SEMH school and by the end of 2026 will also have a P/MLD school.

Each children’s home has their own permanent on-site therapist and a pool car.

Job overview:

Initially you will be working alongside our existing registered manager until they move over to manage the new short breaks service that we will be opening.

The Registered Manager will lead and manage the home ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to the children and young people. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

We have 7 children’s homes open, and a new one to open shortly, that are supported by 3 Responsible Individuals to ensure that our managers receive the dedicated support they need. Our RI’s are supported by a very experienced senior leadership team.

Our managers are also supported by an ‘off-shift’ deputy manager who also work Monday to Friday 9-5
