Job Description:
As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for assisting the following tasks. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Assist in the preparation of bookkeeping for clients in various cloud-based software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts and submissions to Companies House.
- Assisting in the preparation of self-assessment tax returns, rebates, and related matters to HMRC.
- Working with new clients and ensuring their files are properly completed and up to date and all client documentation is in order
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls when appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- You must have the right to work in the UK and we are unable to provide the VISA sponsorship for this role.
Qualifications:
- AAT or equivalent or qualified by experience
- Familiar with the most popular accounting software packages
- 2-3 years of prior experience in a related role (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
