Basis – Full Time (8.30am – 5.00pm)

Location – Northwest

Salary – Dependent on experience

Summary

We are Construction Claims and Default Specialists working for the public sector securing funds for default Agreements where private companies have not fulfilled their legal obligations.

The Business proposal is payment upon performance with all fees fully recovered from 3rd party Bondsman/Developer and is a proven concept with an existing portfolio of clients.

We are in search of a highly skilled management accountant to join our team and help continue a tradition of unparallelled client and employee satisfaction.

The successful Candidate will have a tenacious attitude and will be a self-driven ambitious person to help drive the business strategy operating across all aspects of the business, responsible for maintaining successful daily business practices and leading a new era of growth.

Reporting to the Shareholders with the following responsibilities and duties:

  • Produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Prepare Statutory and Management Accounts.
  • Oversee other aspects of financial operations including but not limited to bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll, VAT returns, sales and purchase ledgers, petty cash and expense.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to Company Management.
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers.
  • Preparation and presentation on monthly Board pack to Company Management.
  • Meeting with the finance director on a regular basis to review the company’s financial performance.
  • Setting company budgets and forecasts alongside the finance director.
  • Create and maintain a rolling plan for forecasting, targeting, and attaining sales.
  • Leading the company and ensuring all employees buy into the company vision.
  • Managing the direction of the company and employee activities, providing suitable resource.
  • Support customer facing operations, including sales, marketing, and public relations.
  • Establish and grow relationships with relevant partners.
  • Working closely with senior staff on sales strategy and approach to winning new business.
  • Working closely with the Senior staff to land large accounts.
  • Speaking at events and exhibitions on behalf of the company.
  • Planning and setting the overall strategic direction of the company alongside senior staff members for increased productivity and growth.
  • Setting company wide KPI’s to gauge company performance in all areas.
  • Responsibility for implementing long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives.
  • Looking for opportunities to implement new procedures to increase efficiencies and speed up processes across the business while adhering to legal guidelines.
  • Analysing opportunities for growth in market segments to drive profitability.

Person Specification

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven track record with three or more years’ experience in management accounts or a similar role.
  • Excel literate – proficient with spreadsheets and accounting software programs.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Experience in developing business strategy.
  • Target driven and results focused individual.
  • Strong Leadership skills a natural leader and motivator of people.
  • Knowledge and ability in dealing with financial and budgetary processes.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Relevant industry experience and knowledge of the target market.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, management , or related field.
  • AAT Qualified or higher, or QBE (Qualified by Experience)

Full training will be given with ongoing support from existing external management consultant, legal advisor, and accountant.
