Overview
Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to join a local firm of Accountants based in Keynsham?
You will play a pivotal role in managing the financial records of various clients, preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Assistance with preparing VAT returns and general compliance will also be required from time to time.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining client relationships and managing your deadlines. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide insightful advice to help them achieve their business goals. The ideal candidate will be detail-orientated, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills.

Duties
- Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Process transactions and manage accounts payable and receivable
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory filings
- Preparation of client end of year accounts
- Provide clients with financial advice and insights to support their business decisions
- Collaborate with the wider accounting team to ensure seamless service delivery
Qualifications
- Minimum AAT Qualified or ideally ACCA Part Qualified
- Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Accountancy Practice - preferable
- Bookkeeping - essential
