Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Book Keeper / Clerical Assistant to join our team. This role involves managing financial records, supporting administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software programmes and possess excellent organisational skills. Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements for management review
- Organise and file financial documents in a systematic manner
- Handle general administrative duties including data entry, correspondence, and filing
- Liaise with external accountants or auditors as required to facilitate audits or tax filings
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant legislation regarding financial record keeping
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or clerical assistance within a professional setting
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A recognised qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or administration is desirable but not essential
