Essential - Ideal Candidate must have Practice Bookkeeping and Payroll experience

We are a friendly, informal and growing accountancy practice based in Lewes in East Sussex. We have a varied portfolio of small and medium sized clients with an emphasis on the Arts and Media, professional consulting and charity sectors.

We are looking for someone to work in-house and remotely providing bookkeeping, payroll, and admin services. There will be scope to expand the role as the practice grows.

Bookkeeping:

General bookkeeping for Sole Traders and Limited Companies.

VAT preparation and returns

Bank reconciliations

Competent posting prepayments and accruals

Preparing management accounts

Xero experience essential

Payroll:

Processing clients payroll

Completing CIS returns

Admin:

Providing general support to clients and the team

Onboarding clients

Dealing with HMRC as required by email and phone

About the candidate:

Essential - At least 1 year practice experience

Client focused

High degree of attention to detail

Good IT skills

Well organised and can work to deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
