Book keeper / administrative assistant required to support with day-to-day operations of a small but busy construction company based near Stourbridge, West Midlands

Essential Skills

· Book keeping experience essential (using Sage)

· Good telephone manner

· Good telephone manner

· Good organisational skills

· Good communication skills

· Good understanding of Microsoft products (Word, Excel & Outlook)

· Ability to work well with minimal supervision

· Fully experienced with the Construction Industry Scheme including:

o verification of subcontractors with the Inland Revenue

o deduction of tax from NETT subcontractors and record keeping for monthly return to HMRC

o Issue of monthly tax deducted statements to all NETT subcontractors and produce figures annually for the CITB return

· Experienced operating a small payroll monthly using HMRC free software and pay all amounts due to the Inland Revenue monthly along with the CIS tax deducted.

Other duties will include

· Corresponding with suppliers, customer and clients (email and telephone)

· Organising files

· Supporting other staff

· Data entry

· Assist Contract Managers with material procurement

· Assist with preparation of job tenders

· Dealing with transactions, purchases, sales, receipts

Expected start date: ASAP
