What you'll be doing

We offer the opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team at our Cardiff Office. The role covers all areas of the finance function so requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as well as good organisation and the ability to manage your own workload. Bookkeeping duties include;

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable data entry
  • Bank and Commercial Card transaction data entry and reconciliation
  • Payment Gateway reconciliation
  • Preparation accounts for VAT Return
  • Preparation of final balances and remitting refunds
  • Customer credit control
  • Ad hoc accounting duties as given by the Finance Manager
  • Maintaining customer financial records within our bespoke database

The successful applicant will have previous experience of using Xero or Sage and have a good understanding/knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Effective communication skills and a willingness to perform duties outside of the finance function is important.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems is essential.
