Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and our applications for payment, ensuring our invoices are logged and processed. This is a civils and construction environment undertaking subcontractworks and recruitment.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software QuickBooks.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Ensure Operatives hours are correct and inputting into the payroll software
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and bookkeeping principles.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
