Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll, maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software platforms and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Duties

  • Running payroll
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling statements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Sage and Xero to record transactions and generate reports.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and support business objectives.
  • Assist with tax preparation and compliance as required.

Experience

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
