About Us

NetXL Ltd is a fast-growing, dynamic business based in central Guildford. We operate in a fast-paced industry and pride ourselves on being agile, intelligent, and customer-focused. As a small, collaborative team, we value independent thinkers who take ownership, solve problems, and bring experience to the table.

We’re looking for a seasoned accounting professional who’s confident in managing all aspects of financial operations and compliance—someone who can hit the ground running and bring both strategic insight and precision to our finance function.

The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or finalist looking for a meaningful part-time role. Whether you're returning to work after a career break, balancing family life, or seeking a more flexible position while staying active in a hands-on accounting environment, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll report directly to the CFO and work closely with our Finance Assistant to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations while supporting higher-level financial strategy and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee bookkeeping
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC requirements
  • Liaise with external accountants during year-end processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal financial processes and controls

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or finalist)
  • Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with Xero accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Confident using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a small business or SME environment
  • Prior background in a tech, ecommerce, or fast-paced industry
  • Familiarity with working alongside both senior leadership and junior finance staff

What We Offer

  • A high-trust, down-to-earth team culture
  • Flexible, family-friendly working hours (approx. 25 hours/week)
  • A valued role with genuine impact on business performance
  • Central Guildford office, close to shops, cafés, and public transport
