Full job description
We are now looking for an accountant to join our fast growing firm in the North Essex area.
You will be AAT Qualified and will have experience in a practice environment.
You will need the following:-
- Experience in taking Limited Company and Sole Trade accounts to trial balance and drafting/reviewing accounts and tax computations.
- Experience in reviewing bookkeeping work.
- Experience in VAT including partial exemption.
- Experience in payroll.
- Experience in preparing management accounts.
- A good understanding of tax issues that may arise for clients and being able to communicate to our clients in a clear and effective manner.
- Maintain good relationships with clients.
- Being able to work to deadlines.
- Being organised and able to manage your work load efficiently.
- To be able to fit into a small team.
- Undertake any other work that may be required.
- Have a good knowledge of accounting software packages.
- Communicate well with the director and all staff.
This position is office based and you will be required to work from our office rather than at home. Our office is in a small village where there is only a hourly bus service so being able to drive may be beneficial. We are very flexible with days/hours to be worked.
Pay will be pro-rata'd.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 per week
