Fowey is a quaint but bustling little fishing town nestled on the south Cornwall coast where the large, deep water harbour is a paradise for sailing fanatics. It’s crammed with pretty, crooked little streets, lined with independent boutiques, which tumble down to the waterside where you can take in the comings and goings of this busy little port. Whether it’s watching a cruise ship drifting silently by or the little sailing boats glide up and down the estuary, there’s a constant, ever-changing backdrop to feast your eyes on.
The hotel has 37 stunning bedrooms, many with estuary views. Each room has mattresses you’ll sink into. A tipple or two of Gin & Sherry on us. Inspired artwork you’ll wish was on the walls of your house. A library of design and local culture. Super soft and fluffy dressing gowns. Bramley toiletries. Waterfall showers to revive and refresh. And anything you need – just a phone call away.
Our kitchen, bar and terrace, combines a colonial and beachside feel with a contemporary twist. Looking out over the estuary the restaurant and bar flow seamlessly out onto the elevated terrace, perfect for a spot of alfresco dining whilst watching the sun set. John Pollard, Chef Director, has developed The Foweys dining concept. John and his team are the masters at uniting fresh, locally grown produce with farm-raised, wild-caught seafood and farm assured meats to make the freshest and most delicious dishes.

The role…

We have a superb opportunity for a Waiter/Waitress to join the restaurant team. As Waiter/Waitress you will need experience of working in a quality food & beverage outlet together with a passion for customer excellence. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and flair for hospitality are essential
