Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills further. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of food safety standards and experience working within a restaurant setting. This paid position is suitable for those eager to contribute to a vibrant kitchen atmosphere while delivering high-quality meals to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in line with food safety regulations
  • Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods, supporting the kitchen team as needed
  • Maintain organisation of the workstation, ensuring all utensils and ingredients are readily available
  • Monitor cooking processes to ensure dishes are cooked to perfection and served promptly
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning protocols

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or branded restaurant setting
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
  • Experience with meal preparation across diverse cuisines is desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude towards customer service is important
