Full job description

Associate Product Manager

Harrogate | Full time | Permanent

You might not know our name, but you'll almost certainly know our work.

We're NaughtOne, a design led furniture manufacturer whose products sit in the workplaces of some of the world's most recognisable brands, including Microsoft, Amazon and Google.

We design and manufacture premium furniture that's beautifully made, highly functional and uncompromising on quality.

But great products don't happen by accident.

Behind every successful product launch is an enormous amount of planning, collaboration, organisation and attention to detail.

Hundreds of decisions.
Dozens of moving parts.
Multiple teams.
Tight deadlines.

Somebody has to bring all of that together.

That's where this role comes in.

The opportunity

Our Product team sits right at the heart of the business.

They work with designers, engineers, manufacturing, procurement, sales, marketing and colleagues around the world to bring new products to life.

As our Associate Product Manager, you'll become one of the people who keeps all of those moving parts connected.

You'll help transform ideas into commercially successful products by coordinating projects, maintaining accurate product data, supporting product launches and making sure nothing gets lost along the way.

You'll be analysing information that helps shape commercial decisions.

You'll be coordinating multiple projects at different stages of development.

You'll be bringing together people from across the UK, North America and India to keep projects moving.

You'll spend plenty of time in the detail.

But you'll also need to be comfortable when things aren't perfectly defined.

Sometimes there isn't a neat process.

Sometimes priorities change.

Sometimes you'll need to bring clarity where none exists.

If that excites you rather than worries you, you'll probably love this role.

This could be the role for you if...

You're the sort of person who instinctively opens a spreadsheet before anyone asks.

Not because you love spreadsheets.

Because you genuinely enjoy bringing structure to complicated things.

You naturally think three or four steps ahead.

You're already thinking about what could delay a project before everyone else has realised there might be a delay.

You enjoy joining the dots.

You're curious enough to ask "Why?"

Analytical enough to work through the data.

And practical enough to help find a solution.

You don't need somebody checking in every hour.

Your manager will be based in the US, so we're looking for someone who manages themselves brilliantly.

You set your own priorities.

You take ownership.

You keep momentum going.

You know when to ask for support, but you don't wait to be told what to do.

You enjoy working with people.

Not just your own team.

Everyone.

This role touches almost every function across our business.

Some days you'll be working with Engineering. Others with Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing,

Operations. Colleagues in the UK, US and India.

Building relationships and bringing people together will be just as important as your technical ability.

You're comfortable juggling lots of moving parts.

Not because you enjoy being busy for the sake of it.

Because you enjoy making progress.

You get genuine satisfaction from seeing a project move from idea... to launch.

You're someone who notices when processes don't quite work.

Rather than saying,

"That's just how we do it."

you find yourself asking,

"Could we make this easier?"

"Could we simplify this?"

"Is there a better way?"

Most of all...

You're someone who rolls your sleeves up.

When things become complicated, you don't step back.

You lean in.

You collaborate.

You find solutions.

You do whatever it takes to get things over the line.

What you'll be doing

You'll support the successful delivery of our New Product Commercialisation process, coordinating projects and helping keep key milestones on track.

You'll maintain accurate product information across multiple systems, ensuring pricing, materials, configurations and product data are ready for successful commercial launches.

You'll analyse product and commercial data, providing the insight needed to support pricing decisions, portfolio reviews and product performance discussions.

You'll coordinate activities across Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing, ensuring projects continue to move forward and stakeholders remain aligned.

You'll support colleagues across North America, the UK and India, becoming a trusted point of contact for product information and project coordination.

You'll identify opportunities to improve systems, simplify processes and help us continually improve how we bring products to market.

Most importantly, you'll become one of the people who quietly makes everything work better.

What we're looking for

Experience in Product Management, Product Development, Design, Commercial Operations, Engineering or Manufacturing would be advantageous.

Experience within furniture manufacturing or another design led manufacturing environment would be even better.

But experience is only part of the picture.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is naturally analytical and enjoys using data to support decisions.
  • Thrives managing multiple projects without losing sight of the detail.
  • Builds trusted relationships across different teams and functions.
  • Is highly organised and plans ahead rather than simply reacting.
  • Takes ownership and works brilliantly with minimal supervision.
  • Is comfortable working through ambiguity and creating clarity.
  • Communicates confidently with colleagues at all levels.
  • Enjoys improving processes and finding smarter ways of working.
  • Is proactive, curious and commercially minded.
  • Brings energy, resilience and a genuine "let's find a way" attitude to everything they do.

Why NaughtOne?

At NaughtOne, collaboration isn't just something we talk about.

It's how we work.

You'll be joining a business where ideas are welcomed, people genuinely support one another and everyone is encouraged to make things better than they found them.

You'll have the autonomy to own your role, the opportunity to influence how we develop and launch new products, and the satisfaction of knowing your work helps shape products that end up in workplaces all over the world.

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
