Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for guests and support the overall success of our hospitality establishment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
  • Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
  • Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise flavour and presentation
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serving of meals
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage inventory control
  • Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards
  • Maintain a positive team environment by fostering collaboration and professional development

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
  • Supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
