Full job description
Site Manager – Residential & Commercial Construction
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per year
Company Vehicle or Car Allowance + Claimable Mileage
Full-Time | Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our growing construction business, managing a varied portfolio of residential and commercial refurbishment and construction projects.
This is a hands-on management role for someone who knows how to run a site properly – managing trades, subcontractors, programme, quality and Health & Safety while keeping projects moving.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects, solves problems and maintains high standards from site setup through to handover.
Your Role -
- Managing construction projects on a day-to-day basis
- Coordinating subcontractors and directly employed trades
- Managing programme, quality and Health & Safety
- Reviewing RAMS and delivering inductions and toolbox talks
- Managing materials, deliveries and site logistics
- Reading and working from construction drawings
- Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Monitoring progress and identifying potential delays early
- Managing snagging, completion and handover
- Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous Site Manager experience
- Valid SMSTS
- Valid First Aid
- Appropriate CSCS card
- Residential and/or commercial construction experience
- Strong knowledge of refurbishment and construction
- Confident managing subcontractors and trades
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Highly Desirable:
- NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management
- IPAF / PASMA
- Structural refurbishment experience
- Experience across both residential and commercial projects
- Previous trade background – particularly bricklaying, joinery/carpentry, electrical or plumbing
The Package
£40,000 – £50,000 salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
Plus:
- Company vehicle OR car allowance
- Claimable business mileage
- Additional day's holiday on your birthday
- Permanent, full-time position
- Varied residential and commercial projects
- Opportunity to develop with a growing construction business
Who We're Looking For
We don't want someone who simply watches a project from the site office.
We're looking for a proactive, hands-on Site Manager who understands construction, can communicate effectively with trades and clients, spots problems before they become delays and takes pride in delivering a quality job.
If you're an experienced Site Manager looking for a role where you'll be trusted to take ownership of your projects, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply today with your CV and details of your relevant construction experience.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
