Full job description

We are looking for an experienced self-employed Bricklayer to undertake bricklaying works on a range of construction sites across North Yorkshire and County Durham.

The successful applicant will be engaged through Hudson Contract and will work across various projects carrying out site-based bricklaying work to a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out bricklaying and blockwork on construction sites
  • Building walls, foundations, partitions and structural masonry work
  • Reading drawings and working from specifications
  • Setting out work and ensuring accurate levels and alignment
  • Mixing and using mortar and construction materials correctly
  • Working safely with hand tools and site equipment
  • Working alongside site managers and other trades
  • Ensuring work is completed to required quality and safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working area
  • Travelling between sites where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Bricklayer
  • Experience working on construction sites
  • Ability to read drawings and work from plans
  • CSCS card preferred
  • Own tools essential
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work under Hudson Contract arrangements
