We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various fitting tasks and be proficient in using hand and power tools. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all fittings are completed to the highest standards.

Duties

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine fitting requirements.
• Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools and power tools.
• Plumb and weld materials as necessary for various projects.
• Perform masonry work, including bricklaying and blockwork, as required.
• Carry out painting tasks to finish fittings with precision.
• Collaborate with carpenters and electricians to ensure seamless integration of fittings into larger projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality guidelines.
• Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that tools and materials are stored safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with carpentry practices is beneficial.
• Basic electrical knowledge would be an asset.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• A commitment to health and safety regulations on-site.

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
