Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry, with the ability to work on various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. The Brick Mason will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials in accordance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Ensure the quality of work meets industry standards and client expectations.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut and shape masonry materials.
  • Construct walls, arches, and other structures using various masonry techniques.
  • Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on existing brickwork as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential.
  • Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A valid driver's licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
