Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Slab Layer to join our dynamic landscape gardening team. In this role, you will be responsible for laying durable concrete slabs that form the foundation of beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. Your expertise will help bring landscape designs to life, ensuring precision, safety, and quality at every step. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that transform outdoor environments into stunning landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the site by leveling ground, setting forms, and ensuring proper drainage before slab installation
  • Measure and mark layout lines accurately to ensure slabs are positioned correctly according to project plans
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment to cut, shape, and install concrete slabs with precision
  • Mix and pour concrete, ensuring proper curing and finishing for durability and aesthetic appeal
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and maintain a safe work environment
  • Inspect completed slabs for quality standards, making adjustments or repairs as needed
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in excellent condition and follow safety protocols at all times

Experience

  • Proven experience as a slab layer or in a similar masonry or concrete installation role within landscape or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, masonry techniques, and concrete finishing methods
  • Skilled in bricklaying, carpentry, roofing, welding, and other related trades is a plus but not mandatory
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship

Must have access to own tools and vehicle with a full driver's license.
