Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled self employed bricklayer to join our team . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brick and blocklaying to new build properties and be proficient in bricklaying, utilising both hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work collaboratively on various construction projects.

Works will invlove the construction of new build properties for a locally based developer.

Payments will be based on measured rates.

Duties

  • Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry units according to specifications and plans.
  • Prepare and mix mortar and other materials as needed for construction tasks.
  • Use hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels to ensure precise placement of bricks.
  • Operate power tools safely and effectively for cutting and shaping materials.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on site to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

  • Proficient in masonry techniques with experience in bricklaying.
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in masonry work.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Able to work to a high standard in a safe a practical manner.
